Raising Unemployment Benefits by $25 Affects People Who Use Food Stamps
Not sure if you heard about our fearless leader President Obama, but he attempted to do something good recently - he raised unemployment wages by $25 per week. However, he ended up hurting people who receive food stamps. How? Unfortunately, the law did not raise the income cap for food stamp eligible people. So although people are making $100 extra per month, they are losing out on $300 worth of food stamps.
What do you think about this? Do you think our president did the right thing? Or do you think our president is a knuckle head for not planning ahead. He has seemed to have surrounded himself with some knucklehead advisors too! Maybe we should think about the old saying: it's the thought that counts.
